My Fabulous Entry to Beautynomics' Play Makeup/ Accessories Matchmaker Contest!

Here is the sunburst necklace worn by Nicole Richie.  It's a statement piece that is a part of her House of Harlow 1960 collection. Inspired by bohemian chic from the '60s and '70s, it exudes vintage glamour. It's bold, it's beautiful and needless to say, I love it! So when I saw that Jean & Rosz had a version within my budget, I knew I just had to have it. So I bought one.

And when I read that Beautynomics was hosting a matchmaking contest where winners will get Jean & Rosz accessories, I knew I just had to join too. To join, one must choose an accessory from Jean & Rosz, and then blog about what make-up would match it. I thought, what a perfect avenue to feature one of my favorite accessories!

For this post, I got to play matchmaker as I paired up the fabulous sunburst with make-up. I chose some outfits to go with it as well, to better appreciate the look. This accessory is very versatile, as most of Jean & Rosz's accessories are. You could wear it night or day, casual or formal, and the great thing about it is that you could pair it up with simple tops or dresses and your look will still shout stylish. To show how versatile it is, I came up with two looks.

For my first match, I went with Day Glamour. I paired up the sunburst with a plain white v-necked top, black blazer, a pretty pair of black ribbon-belted shorts and gorgeous gold flats. With this look, I can imagine myself having coffee with friends or going for a stroll at the mall. It's comfy yet fabulous.

For make-up, I decided to go for a clean half-nude, half-bold look.
Eyes: Neutral eye shadow colors in gold and brown, accentuated by felt-tip lined cat eyes
Lips: Sexy matte red
Cheeks: A bit of bronze shimmer

I named my second match Night Diva. Night outfits need not be dark or black so I decided to pair the sunburst with this lovely turquoise wrap dress, sexy heels and a sleek black faux snakeskin clutch.

For make-up, since it's for an evening look, I wanted to play with more colors.
Eyes: Smoky eyes in shades of Sea Green, gel-lined upper lashline with thick flirty lashes
Lips: Luscious glossy coral
Cheeks: Delicious mauve blush

Isn’t this awesome, using one accessory for two totally different looks? And it’s just a matter of mixing and matching and I bet you too could come up with your own stylish look. For more of their accessories, you may visit Jean & Rosz thru their website at http://jeanandrosz.com
