Soda Stream Giveaway from Eartlingorgeous!

Have you ever seen a Soda Stream?

Soda Stream is an amazing non-electronic gadget that enables you to make your own Soda.  All you need is clean water and the flavoring (which is included in the package) or if you ran out flavoring use your own juice drink for flavoring. Making carbonated water and soft drinks is so simple. Turn tap water into sparkling water in 3 seconds! Enjoy the convenience of home soda and protect the environment.

The first time I saw the Soda Stream was at a food tasting event last year. It was so cute, and the sample drink was good too! Just the idea of making my own soda was quite exciting. It was a bit expensive for me, but if I had the money, I'd buy my own. It's currently available online from their website: http://www.sodastream.com.ph. You could also find it in leading department stores (SM Snack Exchange and Rustan's), special stores like Gourdo's, Automatic Centers and Hobbes and Landes.

And if you're into contests, Earthlingorgous is having a Soda Stream giveaway! Up for grabs is a Soda Stream Starter kit worth almost Php4,000. Contents of the Soda Stream Starter kit includes the frizzer, carbon, 2 soda bottles, 2 bottle of orange and cola syrup and  sampler syrups.

My Fabulous Entry to Beautynomics' Play Makeup/ Accessories Matchmaker Contest!

Here is the sunburst necklace worn by Nicole Richie.  It's a statement piece that is a part of her House of Harlow 1960 collection. Inspired by bohemian chic from the '60s and '70s, it exudes vintage glamour. It's bold, it's beautiful and needless to say, I love it! So when I saw that Jean & Rosz had a version within my budget, I knew I just had to have it. So I bought one.

Sunburst Necklace (image from Jean & Rosz)

And when I read that Beautynomics was hosting a matchmaking contest where winners will get Jean & Rosz accessories, I knew I just had to join too. To join, one must choose an accessory from Jean & Rosz, and then blog about what make-up would match it. I thought, what a perfect avenue to feature one of my favorite accessories!

For this post, I got to play matchmaker as I paired up the fabulous sunburst with make-up. I chose some outfits to go with it as well, to better appreciate the look. This accessory is very versatile, as most of Jean & Rosz's accessories are. You could wear it night or day, casual or formal, and the great thing about it is that you could pair it up with simple tops or dresses and your look will still shout stylish. To show how versatile it is, I came up with two looks.

For my first match, I went with Day Glamour. I paired up the sunburst with a plain white v-necked top, black blazer, a pretty pair of black ribbon-belted shorts and gorgeous gold flats. With this look, I can imagine myself having coffee with friends or going for a stroll at the mall. It's comfy yet fabulous.

For make-up, I decided to go for a clean half-nude, half-bold look.
Eyes: Neutral eye shadow colors in gold and brown, accentuated by felt-tip lined cat eyes
Lips: Sexy matte red
Cheeks: A bit of bronze shimmer

I named my second match Night Diva. Night outfits need not be dark or black so I decided to pair the sunburst with this lovely turquoise wrap dress, sexy heels and a sleek black faux snakeskin clutch.

For make-up, since it's for an evening look, I wanted to play with more colors.
Eyes: Smoky eyes in shades of Sea Green, gel-lined upper lashline with thick flirty lashes
Lips: Luscious glossy coral
Cheeks: Delicious mauve blush

Isn’t this awesome, using one accessory for two totally different looks? And it’s just a matter of mixing and matching and I bet you too could come up with your own stylish look. For more of their accessories, you may visit Jean & Rosz thru their website at http://jeanandrosz.com

Today was Historic!

Today was historic for me because of 2 things.

First, I discovered this morning that I am actually registered and was eligible to vote. Yes, it's the Philippines' National and Local Elections Day and I got to vote. I didn't expect that because I failed to register last year. This morning, being the official driver and taga-park of my parents [both were registered voters], I waited with Tuts for 2 hours parked along the street far far away from our precint poll. Around 10 am, my dad called asking if I wanted to vote, and to my surprise, he told me I was actually on the list of voters! Yey!

And then not so yey! I waited for 3 hours, in sweltering heat and among noisy grumpy voters, before I was able to cast my vote. Plus my picture in the list of voters was UGLY! Lol. It was taken years years ago when I first voted, and believe me, I look way much better now :P

So all in all, I waited for like 5 hours (counting the parking wait), but I guess it was worth it [well, I hope so]. Today is one day that we should all sacrifice a bit of our time. While in line, I overheard this lolo-ish guy, he said jokingly, "Naku, mamya yung iboboto ko lolokohin lang pala tayong mga Pilipino. Nakakainis yun ha, pinila-pila ko pa sa init tapos yun pala corrupt, haha, nagpapagod ako pumila para pahirapan ako." I laughed, and everybody else in the line who heard him laughed. But it's the bitter truth.

After a tiresome day, I was watching the election coverage when I chance upon the Amazing Race finale replay. It ain't historic but I'm happy anyways: the gay brothers won in the Amazing Race! Woot woot! The star wars task was genius, and the brothers were fantastic. I mean, for once, I saw a pair who was actually prepared for the memory game!

Anyways, that's not the only important thing that happened to me today. Now call me vain but for my second happy happy joy joy reason: just awhile ago I googled my site and finally [...drum rolls insert here]

MY BLOG IS SEARCHABLE! YEY! You can actually find me in google! I thought it would take months before that happened so I was ecstatic when I saw the search results.

Sex and the City 2

I started watching Sex and the City way back in my college days. I fell in love with the series because even if it was an American show and they were way older than me, I felt that any woman could relate to the girls. They are strong women, but they also have their own insecurities and issues in life. It's full of comedy and drama, and although sex is a main force behind the show, it also tackles career, relationships and friendships. You know, just because 'Sex' is in the title, it ain't all about sex.

I remember trekking all the way to Greenhills to buy DVDs to satisfy my SATC fix. Nowadays, I sometimes catch their reruns on HBO. Well, guess what? The girls are back and they're more fabulous than ever!!

If you haven't seen the first movie, watch it now before the second movie premieres next month.

Now everything about Sex and the City spells style, but wanna know something that's more fab?! HP Tech Chic Central is giving away a trip to NYC and an HP mini210 to one lucky winner!

If you wanna know more, head on to HP's Me and My City Contest.

Sex and the City 2 releases worldwide on May 27 and hits Philippine theaters May 28.

Head over Heels over Headbands

I love headbands. And thanks to Blair Waldorf, the headband has become one of the hottest accessories of the season and this past year.

It's a great fashion statement that doesn't really require prep time. Don't you just love that?

One great style this season are the rhinestone headbands. It's simple, yet elegant enough to glam up any outfit. You could wear tees and jeans, put on a rhinestone headband and you're good to go.

If you're looking for affordable pieces you could purchase online, I would recommend Jean and Rosz. This fashion accessory business was started by two girls who's been friends since high school. What's fabulous about them is they offer items which are always up to date with the current trends and they always update their customers through their blog and websites.

Single Row Rhinestone Php 280

They just offered their own rhinestone collection, with prices ranging from Php280 to Php600. And they've got other items too that I know you would also love. I bought one of their House of Harlow inspired Sunburst necklaces, and I love it! It's a good quality fashion accessory at a price I find to be very affordable.

How about you, which style of headband are you sporting nowadays?

Multiply Find of the Week - Nu DeKor

I love Multiply. And it seems like a lot of Filipinos love it too.

Multiply allows us to share our photos and videos with people in our network - whether they be family, friends or even strangers. But what I love most about it is the shopping. It's a virtual mall of practically everything. With payment and shipping methods more convenient nowadays, more and more people are transacting over Multiply. And you can't blame them. Spend some time searching and I guarantee you'll find good buys, bargains and fabulous stuff. I could spend hours just visiting pages and looking at clothes, accessories, quirky items and the list never ends.

So here's my game plan: Every week I'm going to post at least 1 great Multiply find.

I love interior design so this week's find is a great and fun design tool - Nu DeKor wall stickers

Aren't these the cutest things?

If you're planning to revamp your room or your kid's room, these are perfect. It's easy to install - all you need is a clean flat surface - and you can change it anytime 'coz you can just peel it off.

Their price ranges from Php550 to Php1100, depending on the design and they have TONS of design to choose from.

I haven't tried their wall stickers yet, but I'm definitely planning on buying some. So go check them out, and if you purchase one before I do, please share it, I'd love to hear about it.

My First Munch

I ain't rich, but that doesn't mean I can't live my life fabulously. There are so many things that we can do to make our lives a little more fab. Sometimes you spend a lot and sometimes you don't even have to shell out a buck.

I love to share, which is why you are now reading this. This is my first munch of the blogging world and like almost any blogger out there, I wanted to share what I am passionate about: people and places and stuff that inspire me to lead a fabulous life which I hope will also inspire others. I wanted a space where like-minded people get to read what I post and talk about it.

I'm your typical girl who loves shopping, bargains (who doesn't?!), eating-out, traveling and sight-seeing, but my interests also includes design, photography, music, movies, the arts and well, anything under the sun that I find to be beautiful and fabulous.

I am fabmonster. I munch on everything fabulous. Welcome to my world.
